A conference interpreter is especially requested for conferences, conventions and seminars when one or more speakers do not share the language of the audience.

INTERPRETING IN PERSON

Conference interpreting is perfect against more formal backdrops like international conferences, conventions and seminars, but also workshops, open-air presentations, festivals.

REMOTE CONFERENCE INTERPRETING

Whereas during remote conference interpreting, I take notes as I would in person and translate after a few minutes; RCI does not need special settings, any platform for online communication does the job (e.g. Skype, Zoom, Meets).

Thanks to remote simultaneous interpreting (RSI) and remote consecutive interpreting (CSI), space-time barriers are canceled. During RSI, I interpret almost simultaneously to the speaker thanks to specific platforms (e.g. Zoom on interrupting mode).

To guarantee a smooth and safe flow of the task, organization must be spotless from both a technological point of view (internet connection, microphones, streaming platforms) and a communicative. A virtual meeting between interpreters and the IT personnel is very important to check that everything works beforehand.
